Terrycloth bath towel or velour bath towel?

The quality of a terrycloth beach towel is often 500 g/m². This refers to the amount of cotton used per square meter. A terrycloth beach towel has the advantage of having loops on both sides, which absorbs a lot of moisture and therefore dries well. A disadvantage can be that it's a "heavy" towel that dries less quickly.

A velour beach towel has loops on one side, resulting in a quality of 380-400 g/m². The advantage of a velour beach towel is that it feels wonderfully soft on the velour side, but the disadvantage is that it absorbs less moisture. The other side does have terry loops, and both beach towels are made of 100% cotton.
